Yes I know the saying is “Dreaming your life away” but I’m telling you dreaming your life into existence really works! Of course you have to do something other than sitting in a corner chanting or swinging a pendulum. Life does require you add the physical element to the dream to make it a reality. How do I know this works? Because I have seen it work in my life and if I hadn’t been aware of what I had been asking for I might have missed it!
If you have been to my www.dedemurcermoffett.com site lately you have seen that I am going to realize one my childhood dreams on June 26th of this year. I am singing for the New York Yankees at Yankee stadium! Yes, yes, yes dreams do come true even if you derail them for long periods of time! It took me a long time to see this dream realized in years but if I look at the fact that I just started singing again seriously in 2009 when I produced my CD it hasn’t been that long! Since 2005 my husband and I have traveled to New York City to see friends and family even taking in a game or two at Yankee Stadium. Every time I thought about being the one down on the field singing the Anthem and soaking up that moment of extreme energy and power.
I dreamed of it, I sensed it and I imagined myself right there! I also did the foot work to get myself noticed and gave the Yankees away to contact me! This is dreaming it into existence plus a little footwork! It’s amazing! Another time this phenomenon happened even faster. It was last year when I sang for the Oklahoma City RedHawks. Mom called me on a Wednesday to tell me they would be honoring my uncle Bobby Murcer former New York Yankee and retiring his number on that following Friday. I made the statement “I wish I would have known I would love to have been singing the National Anthem!” I went around the house singing and dreaming and acting out the role on the field. Then let it go thinking it was two days until the event and these organizations book up 6 months to a year in advance.
Ok weirder things have happened but out of the blue a friend called my mom who was working in advertising and the RedHawks happen to be one of her clients. During the conversation the friends says “Hey would DeDe want to sing sometime for the RedHawks?” Mom told her that I was bummed I didn’t know earlier about my uncle’s event. The next day I get the call to come sing not the National Anthem but God Bless America! That was truly magic!!
Recently I have been talking about wanting to audition for Broadway and while I was performing locally here in Dallas a director asked me if I would like to sing in a show called Broadway Dreams that is in Grapevine Texas on June 10th! I am going to sing on Broadway! So the universe is listening and feeling our feelings bringing them to us in so many ways!
